Spring Madness

Some of us can tell the season's changes by the life cycle of plants, from the shift in colours of foliage to the loss of leaves and the buds appearing again in the warmer months.  Some of us have other visual aids.
Here is mine:

It's spring and madness is all about!
In Sydney there is an "Art & About" festival on and some of the statues have been dressed up for the occasion.

This is the sign to me that we have emerged from the winter cold and our spirits are high.  Just in case you were wondering whether you have reached the wrong blog, here is a quilt completed many seasons ago.

See you soon.

How absolutely fun. Here we are watching the leaves turn and drop and I'm enjoying it being dark by 7:30. I am far more productive in the quilting area when we move into shorter, cooler days. Love your quilt!

We would never see such crazy statues here. Spring means RAIN in Japan.
I like that quilt design. Looks like a potential stash-buster.

What a fun way to celebrate!! It would be soooo much fun to tour the city and see all the statues. I wonder how many cars bump into each other as everyone cranes their necks to see :0)

What fun those statues! I recognize that quilt. It looks wonderful, and perhaps will inspire me to get to work on mine. I had intended to sew it for my husband, and the fabric and pattern are in a pile waiting to be cut and sewn. So many piles, so little time.

Thanks for showing the statues, I wouldn't have known otherwise, it's ages since I ventured into the city. Your quilt is really lovely, a pattern I've always been tempted to do.

What a great thing to do to the statues! What fun! Is the quilt in the final shot one of yours?

Thank you for sharing those fun pictures! Your quilt is very pretty with the rich, deep colors. I think it complements the outfits of the statues very well!

I love your newest hand quilting project. I see a spool of perl cotton, are you doing the big stitch on this one? The comment button wasn't working on that post so that's why I'm commenting on this post.
